I'm Simon Zysman. The picture is of me, although I look like someone very famous.
Years ago, people started to approach me - total strangers - to let me know that I look exactly like the most famous scientist who ever lived, who remains the universal symbol of truth, logic, and science. Soon, 'll be 82 years old. I'm fighting to keep us safe, by creating the products we offer here.
My enemy is not actually a virus, although it spreads like one. And it's more of a threat to our species. It's everywhere now; it's based on the denial of truth, logic and science. Its symptoms are stubborn unwillingness to wear masks and socially distance. Its carriers are conspiracy theorists, anti-maskers: they reject vaccination. They risk their health, their lives, and worse, the lives of their friends, family, the whole community. Their numbers are great, they're vocal, they're angry, and they're not going away. They carry their message to the streets, to the supermarkets, in the way they behave, defying distancing, and in the way they dress - without masks. They spread the word on their banners, their placards and by the slogans on their clothes.
So should we, on OUR clothes, and on our masks, they display something powerful that drives home your message - Albert's image of ,truth, logic and science. It will show to the deniers, to everyone, what you stand for, and who stands with you.
